CATHERINE M. KAO successfully raised a loving and responsible son, while also working as a professional in the financial field, a researcher, and a writer. She wrote a family financial column for a local newspaper for 2 years and has taught a writer's workshop, where several attendees said they began writing as a result of her inspiration.
After a failed first marriage, Catherine was left a single parent of a toddler. She has now been happily married to her entrepreneurial second husband for 16 years. They are looking forward to a richer relationship now that their son has become an adult and is living on his own.
